A few years ago when I was just getting started with business consulting, I was hired by a client who does ‘energy healing’.

Part of my fee for creating a brilliant strategic plan for her was a 1 hour ‘healing’ session. Though I was a skeptic, I have never been one to not want to experience something new and thus add to my life experience.

The session actually consisted of me sitting or laying on my bed whist she listed off affirmations for me. This was my first experience with the concept of an ‘affirmation’ and I can’t say that I really knew what to do with these short statements that she ‘gave’ me. It was a fascinating experience, but once it was over I saved the ‘affirmations’ file to my hard drive and never revisited them again.

Then a little more than a year ago, a friend of mine introduced me to this book:

In it, the author talks about the 6 things you should do every morning… one of which, you guessed it, was reading your affirmations.

But it wasn’t until I read “YOU ARE A BAD ASS” that I really understood the power of affirming statements to change our core beliefs about ourselves and our lives. Jen, the author, teaches you how to actually craft your own affirmations- the ones that you need the most.

Over the last 6 months I have seen an extremely positive shift in myself simply by creating my own affirmations and ‘drowning myself’ in them. I am a more focused, open teacher and mother. I am generally happier, able to relax more quickly no matter the situation. I accept my awesome life and love each day and appreciate each experience.

Once you open the file, not only will you get the list, but my recommendations on how to use them. If you love how your life shifts by simply incorporating affirmations into your life, I would LOVE to hear about it.
